Lily loves football. She plays in the Trust’s Player Development Centre and has represented the Trust in various Premier League Primary Stars tournaments, through her school, Little Green.
“It’s been great having the Trust working with my school. Last year we represented Watford at the Premier League Primary Stars finals at Vicarage Road Stadium, and this really inspired other girls in our school to get more involved in football. This year with lots of new girls in the team we won the Regional Finals and now get to represent Watford again at the National Finals in Leeds. Having had a season ticket at Watford since I was 3, the highlight of the Regionals for me was scoring the winning goal against Luton in the semi-final!”
Enough to put Lily in the hearts of many a Watford FC supporter. Lily’s story is just one example of the many hours the Trust spends engaging local schools, educating, empowering, and inspiring pupils on the football field and in the classroom.
